| Picking Numbers |
![]() |
How you pick your numbers is entirely up to you, but CastleLotto is designed to help you, and gives you a number of different tools to make the job easier.
Most Drawn Numbers
The Most Drawn Numbers section on the main window displays, in order, the numbers that have been drawn the most, based on the results history that has been entered into the CastleLotto database. When picking your numbers, the most drawn numbers are always a good option, as they are proven to have been drawn most often.
Most Likely Next Draw
The numbers displayed in this section on the main window, are the ones that CastleLotto calculates as the most likely to be drawn in the next draw. As well as historical popularity, a number of other calculations are performed on the past results to determine the likelihood that any given number will appear in the next draw.
Weighted Random Forecast
The nature of lottery draws is that they are random, and you may want to generate more than just a few sets of numbers to use. The Most Drawn Numbers and Most Likely Next Draw as described above are a good starting point for picking your numbers. However, they will only give you a few sets of numbers to work with.
CastleLotto could provide an option to generate purely random numbers, but most lotteries give you that option anyway (where the machine picks the numbers for you). Instead, CastleLotto provides a weighted random option which applies weightings to each of the possible numbers and then draws randomly from the entire weighted set of numbers. With this weighted random number generation, you are more likely to get the more popular numbers included in your number set, but it is still random. However, unlike pure random generation, weighted random provides you with a more accurate simulation of drawing random sets of numbers closely related to historical results.
Analysis Options
As well as the number sets displayed on the main window, CastleLotto provides you with some analysis tools so that you can 'dig deeper' into the data and find out more about the numbers that interest you. These options are explained in more detail in the Analyze section.
